Insider’s Guide

Weather

You might ask? “When is the best time to come to the Whale’s Tale?” Believe it or not, the perfect weather day is not always the best day at the Whale’s Tale – because you and everyone else has decided to come on that day.

Choosing to come on days with ‘iffy’ weather often means you’ll have no lines, plenty of seating, and more opportunities to truly enjoy your day.  Plus, if the weather gets really bad and we are forced to close you will get a rain check to return for the time you missed.

Seating

Most seating in the park is on a first come first serve basis. Seating areas near our food and beverage establishments are reserved for our patrons.

If you want to ensure you have a seat for your family and friends reserve a private cabana for the day. Call us at 603-745-8810 to make your reservation.

Finally, unlike many parks, the Whale’s Tale is situated on 17 beautiful acres that offer a lot of green spaces. Feel free to bring your own chair or blanket and find a peaceful spot to rest.

Shopping

Take a moment to browse our Breakers Surf Shop featuring swimwear, sunglasses, apparel, toys, and more. Come in, look around, and take a piece of the Whale’s Tale home with you.
We have some of the best options for swimwear in the area, so feel free to stop by and browse the shop even when you don’t plan to enter the park.

Safety

The Whale’s Tale prides ourselves on our rigorous training to maintain the highest possible safety standards. All guards are American Red Cross certified, in addition, select maintenance staff are Certified Pool Operators and food and beverage works are have ServSafe certification.

That said, safety is your responsibility. Make sure you observe all park rules, regulations and Know B 4 U Go guidelines.

If your children are not toilet trained, swim diapers are required for the safety and comfort of all of our guests. Children 3 and under receive a swim diaper with their $5 admission.

Parental supervision is the best way to ensure your children’s safety. Be water aware – if your kids are in the pool you should be too. Infants, toddlers and weak swimmers should have an adult swimmer within an arm’s reach to provide “touch supervision”.

We recommend that all weak or non-swimmers wear a Personal Flotation Device (PDF).  PDFs are available, free of charge, in our Breakers Surf Shop at the park entrance.
